Dream
Acres is proud to offer a Summer Camp Program for children ages 6 - 15 with prior horseback riding experience. Ages and levels will be divided appropriately. Our
program is designed to enhance your child's love for horses through our
structured program. This program is suitable for riders of all levels and ages,
beginner through advanced.
Your child will walk away from this experience with new friends, increased self confidence & and self-esteem, a sense of achievement, understanding of responsibility, a greater love for the sport, and a whole bunch of knowledge! We have prizes, T-Shirts, Supplies and so much for all of our campers to bring home as souvenirs. Each day will have a 'theme' to it with appropriate activities, such a Cowboy Day, Horse Show Day,Wacky Day, etc...!
Our Program is a huge success and very popular. It is not uncommon for Sessions to fill up by March. We start taking reservations January 1st, for the following Summer. Our goal is to teach each child how to safely, and properly enjoy these wonderful animals while improving their riding skills.
All of our activities are designed with Fun in mind. Summer is a time when kids can get away from the pressure of school.... participation in our Program will be an experience they will never forget. When finished, they will be refreshed, relaxed, ready to go back to school.
Camp Runs Tuesdays and Thursdays from 8:30am to 2:00pm
2011 Dates will be out in January!
Please contact us for pricing, registration, and space availability on traditional summer riding program at Dream Acres Equestrian Center program!
Our Curriculum changes each year, so that our
campers can come back year after year!
Dream Acres Training Camp is designed our more experienced competitive riders. The camp program focuses on care of the equine athlete, higher levels or riding, and horse health care. Camp will focus on training, show preparation and the hard work necessary to advance your skills. Under saddle sessions will be split based on discipline and level. Students with a desire to attend Training Camp must receive an instructor recommendation. Students may bring their own horse. School horses are also available.
There will be no additional charge
over the camp fee for any trailering needed for camp activities. Students
will be required to pay course fees when applicable. There will be a lot of intense ride time in this camp. At times
there will be 2 sessions a day. Special attention will be given to our equine partner to make sure they stay comfortable! Campers will be expected to come to camp
with a desire to work hard, a desire to learn, and the willingness try challenging exercises. Space is
very limited to provide a better environment for students.
A small sample of activities:
Field Trips Every Monday (XC Courses, Galloping fields, Hills/Conditioning, Water locations, Etc.) All field trip locations will be suitable for all disciplines ; Clinic Style Lesson Format ; Clinicians occasionally brought in; Professional Demonstrations
This camp will be extremely educational and challenging as well as fun! Intensive Training Camp is sure to to greatly improve riding skill and horsemanship.

Basic Horse Camp is a great Introduction for kids that have not been around horses or kids that have had limited experience. Campers will learn to work around horses safely, they will also learn about basic horse and stable care, and of course learn the basics of riding. Campers will ride 1 to 2 times a day. Riding will include ring work, trail rides and games. Campers will also interact with other farm animals. All activities are 'hands on'. Basic Horse camp offeres everything our Summer Horse Camp offers(Above) but for kids with a little less experience!
Camp Runs Monday Through Friday9:00am to 2:30pm
2011 dates will be out in January
Please contact us for pricing, registration, and more information.
Our more experienced riders may participate as Counselors In Training through our Horse Camp Programs. These riders are expected to help with camp (catching horses, cleani
ng up, getting supplies, helping students, supervising lunch, etc.), but they are sure to learn a thing or two at the same time.
Students will participate in some activities as helpers/Jr Counselors, and will be able to ride each day with the group. Either participating in the lesson, if appropriate, or riding with the group while practicing their own activity! Instructor Recommendation is Required, and there are age restrictions. Contact for Session Availability.
This is a great supplement to any of our summer camps. These clinics are stuiable for all ages and levels. Clinics will include mounted and unmounted sessions. When necessary riders will be split into groups based on age and skill level.
Camp will include a series of clinics teaching riders about horse care, dentistry, farrier work, horse ownership, riding and competing. Outside professionals will be brought in to teach these educational classes. We plan to get some very well known and respected individuals in for these clinics. This is a great supplement to any of our camp programs. Dates and Specifics to be announced. I really recommend this camp for all.
