Dream
Acres is proud to offer a Summer Program for children ages 6 - 14. Our
program is designed to enhance your child's love for horses, through our
structured program. This program is suitable for riders of all levels,
beginner through advanced.
Your child will walk away from this experience with new friends, increased self confidence & and self-esteem, a sense of achievement, understanding of responsibility, a greater love for the sport, and a whole bunch of knowledge! We have prizes, T-Shirts, Supplies and so much for all of our campers to bring home as souvenirs. Each day will have a 'theme' to it with appropriate activities, such a Cowboy Day, Horse Show Day, Wacky Day, etc...!
Our Program is a huge success and very popular. It is not uncommon for Sessions to fill up by March. We start taking reservations January 1st, for the following Summer. Our goal is to teach each child how to safely, and properly enjoy these wonderful animals.
All of our activities are designed with Fun in mind. Summer is a time when kids can get away from the pressure of school.... participation in our Program will be an experience they will never forget. When finished, they will be refreshed, relaxed, ready to go back to school.

Session 2: July 22 to August 14 (4 Week Session)

Our Curriculum changes each year, so that our campers can come back year after year!
Each Year one Student will be Sponsored through the 'Nokomis Scholarship' to attend our Traditional Summer Program. The Nokomis Scholarship is made possible through the generosity of private donors, in memory of my beloved event horse 'Nokomis' who passed away in 2003. He was a wonderful teacher to me, and in his name we do the same for the child sponsored each year. We will choose one student each year that shows commitment, dedication, and passion for horses, who would benefit from participation in this program, to receive this wonderful scholarship.
Thank you to our generous sponsors:
Cindy Cox & Greg & Marilyn Weltin
Dream Acres Training Camp is designed our more experienced competitive
riders. This camp will be much more intense and focus on training, show
preparation and the hard work necessary to advance your skills. Students
with a desire to attend Training Camp must receive an instructor
recommendation. (Campers may be students of Angie or Brandi as long as
riders are at the appropriate level)
Angie Morin will be instructing the riding sessions for this camp as well as some other camp activities. (In a rare case an alternate instructor may be assigned if absolutely necessary… i.e if Angie or her children are sick, or we have a clinician come in, etc..).
There will be no additional charge over the camp fee for any trailering needed for camp activities. Students will be required to pay course fees when applicable for cross country schoolings. There will be a lot of intense ride time in this camp. At times there will be 2 sessions a day. Campers will be expected to come to camp with a desire to work hard, learn, and try challenging exercises. Space is very limited because of trailering room.
This camp will be extremely educational as well as fun! However we WILL NOT have the silly themed days as in the Traditional Summer Program. Because of this students may enjoy participating in both camps. Training Camp to greatly improve riding skill and horsemanship, and our traditional summer program to enjoy silly fun which all our campers love, and less intense learning activities (Yes, they will still learn something ... I guarantee it!)
Camp Runs Mondays and Wednesdays from 9am to 2:00pm
Session 1: July 22 to August 14 (4 Week
Session)
Please note: Training Camp 2008 is FULL. We are currently accepting students on a wait list. We have 1 opening for Wednesdays Only (On Property Day). Please inquire for details.
Please contact us for pricing, registration, and more information on the Training Program!
Dream Acres will be offering 2 Full Week Sessions of Camp. This camp will
be very similar to our Traditional Summer Program (read above), but with
more focus on 'Farm Activities' such as Farm Animals, Hay Rides, Trail Rides,
Scavenger Hunts, etc.... Campers will still enjoy ride time each and every
day, under the best instructors available! Activities will not be duplicated
with our other camp programs, so campers may enjoy both Traditional Camp,
and this Farm Day Camp!
Camp Runs Monday Through Friday 8:30am to 2:00pm
Session 1: July 28 to August 1 (1 Week
Session)
Session 2: August 18 to August 22 (1
Week Session)
