Spring Projects
Im happy to announce that we are in the very beginning stages of planning 2 manure pits and property wide drainage ditches to dry things up ( as much as it can be with horses). We are going this route to make the farm more environmentally friendly (Yes, I am on that kick lately), and to make DAEC more appealing to the eye. The projects should break ground in the spring if everything goes as planned. There is a lot of engineer work to be done first. This is a huge undertaking so it will take time, but it is definitely a top priority. It will really change DAEC in a big way... and help the environment at the same time!! Yeah!
The indoor has consumed a ton of time and a ton of funding, once complete we are going to focus on giving DAEC a 'new face' (in the spring). We have the best atmosphere and best programs around... the new face with top it all off, giving DAEC the whole package!
Jumps
Im sure you are all wondering when our new jumps will be put up.... Todd started working on them, but we have 1/2 that are broken and need to go back (broken from delivery). The company has not been easy to work with. First they forgot 1/2 of the order, now this... So until we have them all here we will wait on putting them together. I know you are all very excited. I have a call into them, and I am waiting for the jumps to be picked up and new ones shipped out.
Holiday Hours
Just a reminder that our Holidays Hours will be in effect for Thanksgiving & Christmas
This is so that we may spend some quiet time with our families (& get chores done more quickly)
We only have 3 Days a Year with these restrictions
Thanksgiving - 10am to 6pm
Christmas Eve - Barn Closes at 6pm
Christmas - 11am to 6pm
Miscellaneous Info
As of 12/1 we plan to have all riders dropped off at the indoor. The horses will be there waiting for lessons or be in pastures that are accessible from the indoor area. We are going to move the gates down there.
Also we will be purchasing a sander for the 4 wheeler so we can keep the DAEC driveway/walkway area very well sanded this year.
Recycle-
Please remember to sort your trash. DAEC is going green. We want to recycle and do what we can to help our environment
